The Pack
Constructed from reclaimed shipping pallets, these life-sized wolves transform discarded industrial materials into powerful animal forms. Built from hundreds of weathered wood fragments, the sculptures balance sharp geometric construction with the recognizable posture and presence of wolves.
Installed as a group, the wolves evoke the social nature of a pack—cooperation, communication, and collective strength.
Their reclaimed materials also speak to cycles of use, renewal, and adaptation, reflecting both the resilience of wildlife and the creative potential of repurposed materials.

ABOUT KIA NEILL
Kia Neill is a multidisciplinary artist working in mixed media, including drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. She has lived and worked in cities across the U.S. as a professional artist, completing public and private commissions, exhibiting her work, giving lectures, serving as a juror, and teaching at both the college and continuing education levels for over 15 years.
Originally from Chicago, Neill earned her MFA from the University of California, San Diego. In 2014, she relocated from Houston, Texas—where she was a full-time faculty member for seven years at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Glassell School of Art—to Denver, Colorado. After multiple visits as a guest artist in the Breckenridge Arts District (now Breck Create), she moved to Colorado to further explore her deep connection to the mountain landscape. The natural environment remains a strong influence in her work, including a large digital collage recently acquired by Southwest Airlines for display at Hobby International Airport.
Neill currently teaches at the University of Denver’s School of Art and Art History, as well as at Breck Create, and spends her winters teaching snowboarding.
