Join us for an evening of meditative wax carving. Before a piece of silver or gold jewelry is cast, it begins its life as a meticulously carved wax model. In this hands-on workshop you’ll learn how to sculpt, file, and carve your own unique ring, pendant, or small sculptural object from jeweler’s wax.

We will guide you through the subtractive and additive techniques of wax working using specialized files, carving tools, and heat to bring your vision to life. This is the perfect class for anyone interested in jewelry design, sculpture, or miniature model making, offering a relaxed and creative space to develop your skills.                                                                 

What to know before registering

Please note! This class focuses entirely on the design and carving stage of the lost-wax process. Metal casting will not take place during the workshop, casting is an add-on service available directly from the instructor. Please inquire with instructor for pricing and timeline. Most rings cast in Sterling Silver will cost between $100-200.

All tools and materials are provided.

Non-Members: $55+ $6.50 service fee
The cost of the class includes materials and use of studio equipment and tools.
