Upcycled Plastic Hanging Planters

Upcycled Plastic Hanging Planters

As part of our Precious Plastic Re-maker’s Lab, this class turns discarded materials into bold, functional works of art. In this hands-on upcycling session, students will explore how everyday plastic waste can be transformed into unique hanging planters using our specialized machines. Participants will experiment with color mixing and melting plastic shreds, discovering how color blending and heat affect the final form. Once the plastic is melted and molded into a planter, students will learn to rig a suspension system using cord-tying techniques, finishing the piece by planting a succulent to take home with them!
