Abstract Art

Abstract Art

This class focuses on the playful meditative practice of art making, while using the approach of abstraction to express personal emotions, ideas and the subconscious. Without the pressure of needing to make your art look like something recognizable, participants can just enjoy themselves getting lost in the art medium, while the instructor will discuss how to make use of visual elements such as color, line, shape and texture in order to structure your abstract play into a cohesive and interesting work of art.

Each week we will routinely have drawing and painting supplies to work with, in addition to an introduction to a bonus medium or technique of the week, such as scratchboard or textiles.
