Exhibition Opening: Second Life

Exhibition Opening: Second Life

Saturday January 24th from 5-7pm
Exhibition Reception + Music

Step into a world where plastic comes alive.

Second Life, a bold and immersive exhibition by Artist-in-Residence Jodi Stuart, transforms the Old Masonic Hall Gallery into a playground of vibrant, anthropomorphic forms. Through Breck Create’s Precious Plastic Initiative, Stuart reimagines recycled plastics into exuberant, life-sized sculptures that twist, shimmer, and surprise at every turn.

Exploring the strange, elastic possibilities of this unconventional material, she invites visitors into a universe of color, texture, play, and wonder—culminating in a gallery experience that is equal parts joyful, uncanny, and awe-inspiring.

Jodi Stuart: Second Life exhibition opening reception will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 5-7 pm, with an Artist talk at 6 pm—a free event with lite bites, a cash bar, and music.

A special thank you to:

Jodi Stuart for being our fall 2025 Artist-in-Residence. It has been a pleasure to have you on campus these last months, preparing for your exhibition, for your outdoor Ice Garden installation, and for teaching classes in the Precious Plastic Studio. We would also like to thank the entire team at Breck Create, including Elsa Vasquez, who oversaw the translation of gallery text and marketing materials, and the graphic design team, Aspen Alley Creative.
