Jodi Stuart: Ice Garden
Ice Garden is a site-specific outdoor installation made up of numerous bio-morphic ice-sculptures presented across the Ridge Street Art Square. Inspired by a drive from Loveland to Denver after an overnight hard freeze, where the landscape was covered in layers of crystalline ice, Artist Jodi Stuart dreamed of simulating the magical beauty of the sun glinting off the ice-coated tree limbs, wire fences, and blades of dry grass. Clinging to structures, lampposts, and areas covered in snow, these woven forms will gently embrace the historic buildings of the arts district, animating these spaces with frozen beings that are sure to delight and instill a seasonal sense of wonder in all who pass by.
