Immerse yourself in the traditional craft of cold-process soapmaking in this cozy, autumn scented workshop. Designed tobridge the gap between science and art, this class explores the process of making handmade soap. Using traditional ingredients, you will learn how turn nourishing oils in to soap, We will use natural colorants like vibrant turmeric to create stunning swirls and patterns. Whether you are looking to start a new hobby or craft beautiful skin-loving holiday gifts this class is a must-try experience!                                                                              

What to know before registering

All tools and materials are provided. Students will be working with caustic substances at potentially hot temperatures. Safety glasses and thorough instruction are provided, but minor injuries such as scrapes or burns are possible.

Safety is an extremely high priority in this class. Please wear clothing with long sleeves, long pants and close-toed shoes.

This class is perfect for beginners—no prior experience necessary. Recommended for ages 18 and up.Once made, the soap will need to set for 24 hours before being removed from the mold and can be picked up the next day. After being removed from the mold, the soap needs to cure for 4-6 weeks before use.

Non-Members: $65+ $6.50 service fee
The cost of the class includes materials and use of studio equipment and tools.
