Artists in Residence
Emma Oliver
November 7 – December 19, 2022
Emma Oliver is a sculpture and expanded media artist working with yarn and fiber. She enjoys making large scale sculpture and toying with a viewer’s concept of what yarn and textile is capable of. Oliver is most interested in topics of communication and playful self-critique in her work. While in Breckenridge, Oliver hopes to continue her Vulnerability/Boundary Sweaters series, which involves participation from people willing to divulge phrases that they have used to set boundaries or be vulnerable with other people. The project showcases how communication can happen in multitudes of ways.
