INVITATION

Artist in Residence Mary Robinson will work with the Summit County community to create a site-specific outdoor/indoor installation, titled Invitation, at the Robert Whyte House. Combining her own repurposed materials with those collected from the local community, Robinson and any interested participants will weave and piece together repurposed fabric and paper and recycled plastic while contemplating material waste and material appreciation. The art installation will visually reflect the natural surroundings and local community. With awareness and collaboration, we can give material a new life.

CREATE + CONTRIBUTE

Community members are invited to weave, piece, and create forms for the project during Mary Robinson’s Open Studios or at the AirStage Summer Après throughout the summer.

Donate recyclable plastic, please bring materials to Fuqua Livery Stable during plastic collection hours (see below for Precious Plastic Collection times).

Donate pre-owned fabric, yarn, thread, rope, orange plastic barrier mesh, burlap, or paper, please contact Drea Edwards at drea@breckcreate.org.
