With countless recognizable hits and electrifying live performances, the BoDeans have cemented their place as a cornerstone of American rock. Led by original frontman, songwriter, and producer Kurt Neumann, the band’s catalog includes anthems like “Good Things,” “Closer to Free,” and “Idaho.” Emerging from Waukesha, WI, in 1986 with their debut album Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams (produced by T Bone Burnett), the BoDeans have since built a legacy with 14 studio albums, including their latest, 4 The Last Time.
The BoDeans’ music has been featured in countless television shows and films, including the theme for Party of Five and over 70 tracks used in Netflix’s The Ranch. Known for their Midwest rock-pop sound, the band has toured with icons like U2, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty and graced the stages of festivals such as ACL and Farm Aid. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognized their influence, featuring them in the Midwest Artists exhibit.
Their newest album, 4 The Last Time, captures the heart and soul of the modern American experience, blending high-energy anthems like “Ya Gotta Go Crazy” with poignant tracks like “Loved,” a touching promise from Kurt to his children. With over three decades of music, the BoDeans continue to bring people together with their honest, guitar-driven sound.
“Come to a BoDeans gig, sing along, and forget about everything else,” says Kurt. “That’s why I play nowadays.”
