Plaster Mold Making Series
In this 3- week class, students will learn the fundamentals of using plaster in ceramics, and how to cast molds from either prototypes made from clay or from everyday objects. Following the class, students will know how to make 1-part and 2-part press molds that help create functional or decorative elements in ceramics. This is not a slip-casting class.
Week 1: How to make a prototype, plaster basics, 1-part plaster mold
Week 2: Discussing symmetry in mold production, 2-part plaster mold
Week 3: Additional plaster techniques, discussing practical applications of molds

Non-Members: $73.02 + $6 service fee
The cost of the class includes materials and use of studio equipment and tools.
