In this workshop, participants learn about the importance of remembering and reconnecting with their roots as a way of resistance and empowerment. Participants learn about the representation of LGBTIQ2S+ communities in ancient Indigenous cultures all over Latin America by participating in an archeological deep dive. Then they are invited to learn about queer Two Spirit ancestors and their traditional sacred roles within diverse communities all over the world. We then reflect on the sacredness of queerness and embark on a nature walk to gather elements to create a sacred offering so future generations of queer and two spirit people may feel loved and be able to embody their sacred roles as well.
