Astrophotography on Boreas Pass
Engage your creativity and curiosity by learning how to capture the night sky with Breck Create and Colorado Astrophotography. This 2 hour experience will be held in one of Colorado’s iconic and historic locations- Boreas Pass part of Colorado’s Continental Divide. This hands-on experience will teach you the basics of how to capture the milky way and constellations against Colorado’s Rocky Mountains as well as a stargazing tour that will illustrate what is in the night sky. Our location at Boreas Pass includes historic rail road tracks, an old section house, as well as beautiful mountain-scapes with a wide open view of the milky way. Instruction will be provided for DSLR or mirrorless cameras and we will have camera equipment available if needed. Join us for an inspiring way to connect with nature’s dark side!
Rain date is August 21st.
This class is specifically designed for the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts (BIFA). BIFA offers participatory workshops and immersive art experiences for everyone, including free nature-based art classes and workshops inspired by the Festival artists.
