The program begins with Roberto Sierra’s Alegría, a vibrant and dynamic work whose title translates to “Joy.” Infused with Latin American rhythms and melodies, this piece sets a festive tone and celebrates the universal language of happiness and togetherness. Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony enchants with its playful charm and sparkling wit, a joyous blend of tradition and innovation, bursting with lighthearted energy. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, often called the “Apotheosis of Dance.” With its driving rhythms and celebratory themes, this iconic symphony builds to a thrilling and triumphant finale that captures the sheer elation of life and music.
